Tire size for stock 1977 Bronco

Just got my 1977 very stock Bronco back on the road. Haven't driven it much over the last 5 years or so and it has been sitting outside in my driveway. Was thinking about new tires. The tires currently on it are from 2015, but probably not a lot of mile on them. The current tires are 235/75R15 on stock wheels. I do not have or intend to lift this vehicle. This is my get me around town vehicle. At most, I might drive it 45 miles over to the next town. No offroad, closest thing would be a country backroad.

My question is tire size, since I know little about this While the Bronco is stock with no lift, I think I'd like to go with something a little bigger than what I have. I'd prefer not to buy new wheels. Not asking what brand, just size.

Can anyone share a photo or point me to your garage to show a different option?

Am I just better off with the size I have?

I had 30x9.50x15 on mine before lift with no issues. The fit can be affected by the back spacing on your wheels. Some info you might be interested in regarding your current springs is if your springs are original they have probably sagged a bit. You can find the measurement between top of axle and body that new stock springs will provide, compared to what you have now. With new stock height springs you could test fit 30's or even 31's to see what will fit and what look you like. New springs, bushings and shocks can improve your driving experience. Also, the rubber bushings between frame and body are probably squashed pretty flat and replacing them is helpful. You could even add a 1" body lift to help you get more room for larger tires.

the "stock" "stock" tires were close to 28x8.5/8.8ish so you can go with 30x9.5x15 for a 'little' bigger. Ideally i would recommend to continue 235/75R15 which are close to 28.9x9.25

You could also get a basic Marti report that shows what tire size your truck actually came with.
Or I guess they often do, but I’m not sure if every report shows it. Might be worth a look though.

Sorry I thought you had a 1966 so I deleted that post. Those original bias ply tires became less available over time and as the trend to radials became more widespread they often replaced the old bias ply tires with the 235 75 15 radials or similar which were taller and wider. The radial is nicer on road for sure. I don't have pics of my Bronco with 30's on stock suspension but in my opinion they looked good.
