Theres an overhead bar runs behind the driver and passenger seats. Can someone give me the length of that bar from the inside of the drivers side tube to the inside of the passenger side tube?

Thanks

I'll get you one in a few hours. I'm working on my cage this morning. To clarify its the U shaped hoop that sits behind the seats and you want the measurement at the highest point before the 90 degree bends start, inside to inside? It's probably mostly square but might be a half inch or so out from the feet to the point I mentioned.

Jon, thanks for your help. My thought is to attach a downward firing soundbar fitted right to left behind the driver and passenger seats. I need the dimension to determine length of this soundbar and its mounting brackets.

Thanks again,
Mike

Mine is 42 1/2" immediately in front of and behind the hoop behind the front seats. Dimensions can vary depending on how and where the side tubes are welded to the hoop. Also, the tubes are not parallel to each other so the dimension gets wider towards the windshield. Hope this helps.

The width between the bars that connect to the hoop are obviously variable because you weld those in yourself. I think that's what Tdubya gave you. Mine is 44.5 on those bars but I wanted mine as wide as possible.

Well, that's a bad day. Welding up my 6pt Toms cage today. The bars connecting the hoop behind the front seat and the hoop behind the back seat are set just before the radius starts. Tacked up, the inside to inside measures 41" The MTX $600 soundbar I bought is min 43".

I don't know how anyone got 44.5 or 50.5 without going into the radius on both sides.

The next size MTX down is max 38". They have nothing between 38 and 43?

Any suggestions.

OK, so if I remove the MTX universal mounting clamps from both sides, the soundbar is 40.5"! That's a 1/4" air gap on each side.

Now to design some sexy looking brackets to attach to my cage.
