anyone see the difference between wild horses and toms disc brake kits, from what i can see toms disc brake major kit (#2434 - $749.00)comes with warn hubs and is a little cheaper than wild horses super deluxe kit ($834.99) am i missing something or is toms just better deal? BTW, i would love to find these pieces on my own but just don't have the time.

thanks

I bought my kit from the ebay guy (Horsepowersales)

I really liked the kit and everything was quality. Plus the price was pretty good. They offer different kits so you can get used parts or new parts, slotted rotors, etc.

i just installed the WH front disc kit last week. no complaints great kit. I suspect they are mostly the same. I went with WH because they have good customer service and I was buying a bunch of other stuff from WH.

I know there is grinding of the knuckles involved in the WH kit I wasn't expecting that but it wasn't too bad.

All these kits (including the e-bay kits) are off the shelf Chevy and Ford parts that can be bought at the local parts store except the spindle and backning plate. The spindle can be hard to find in a wrecking yard but the backing plates cross over into more years and are pretty easy to come by. The newer big bearing chevy spindle is easy to come by and can be machined to the proper diameter.

Here in the south there were not a lot of 67-72 chevy 4WD trucks, but if you live in the rust belt you may be able to collect everything you need in a couple of hours in the yard. I did the whole conversion for less than $250 including a master cylinder.

All you are doing is paying someone to collect the parts for you. You could buy spindle and backing plates from anybody and the rest easily at the local auto parts store.

Buy whatever one you can get shipped cheapest to your door.
