I have a 77 bronco that I purchased about a year ago and I am planning on taking top off and put a bikini top on. I do not think the top has ever been removed any tips on process of removing it. Looks like some of the weather stripping is attached to the body. Thanks Keith

Piece of cake. Remove all the bolts along the windshield and the two rear quarters. Unbolt the bolts on the inside of the tail gate. The brackets that go down in the rear quarters are angled. If i did it again, I'd unbolt those from the top.

3 guys can lift it, but I'd recommend 4. There are a number of posts that shot homemade lifts that guys used. search under removing hardtop.

Topless is the only way to run.

BTW, get a roll cage or roll bar if you're going to run without the top. the top is that rigid anyway, but it does give some protection. Good seatbelts also!

simple enough, just get some help to haul it off after the bolts are all out...

I have a lift and I rigged it so I can lift it off with that. Otherwise I could never get three friends to come over and get it off!

It only went back on to see if the roll cage cleared and may not go on again until November (cold season)
