TR-4050 in Bronco

Has anyone done the install of the TR-4050? Curious what the length is and how the install went.
Currently I have the T-18 and the cold duck

I have talked with Modern Driveline (Idaho) about doing this in a full size (78-79) and they are developing a kit. (No timeline given)
WH's has a display with this trans and adapter on their sales floor, but it is so new that no one can answer any questions about it. (Back in early December).
Silver sport Transmissions (East Coast) was the originator of the kit that Jay Leno used in his GT500 Bronco at SEMA. At the time they had an exclusive on selling it from Tremec. The owner recently sold the company and I guess that opened up the opportunity for other Elite Dealers to sell the product.

So I can't answer your questions, but would suggest that you check in with WH's to see if they have any new info on the swap and/or the same for SST, since they did a lot of the development in the begining.

Have not heard back from SST
Talked to WH and was told they have sold quite a few already.
Getting things quoted now.
Was hoping to hear from someone that had done it.

They must be sellin' them, we are getting orders for the D20 shifters that will work with the kit. Not on our website, but it's a kit we can build to order (no extra charge).

Do you have info on the shifter needed for the tremic?

We have sent preproduction prototype out for fitment checks and transmission shifter clearance checks.
I expect that we will know very soon if here is any finetuning required.

I looked into them as I was curious. At that price point I would really have to "need" that capability to justify nearly double what it costs over an AX15. My 400hp with and AX behind it does well for how I use it. If I was doing serious crawling, this may be the ticket if I wanted a manual which I really wouldn't anyway for that.
