I do not have a horn installed on my Bronco and I would like to have one due to all of the idiots on the road who don't pay any attention to what their doing. I have included a pic of the the aftermarket steering wheel, not sure what type it is though. I have a few connectors inside the engine compartment, near the firewall (driver-side) that have nothing plugged into them. Can anyone tell me how to track down the circuit from the after-market wheel?

:p :p :p You will need a horn and a horn relay hot wire from batt. to relay, wire from relay to horn, wire 3 go's up steering colum when it is grounded it will honk the horn. There should be a wire there under the cover when you push on the horn button it grounds and you have a horn. hope this helps good luck.:D :D :D Bill %) ;D

What year is your Bronco? They changed the wiring over the years, so that info might help.

What Bill said though is best. Even though the earlier models did not use a relay setup, the later ones did and I believe it's a better way to do it.

Once we know the year though, we can work on tracing the original wires, if they still exist, and help you set up the new ones.

Don't know the wheel though. Seen 'em, but haven't worked with one.

On the year model, judging by your dash, it's a '73 to '77 model. I think Ford started using the relay method in '75 or so.
If yours is a later model, the factory relay would be on the passenger side inner fender wall (tight up under the fender lip) in the narrow spot between the firewall and battery.
There's a picture here that was posted up in the last week or so, so you "might" be able to find it using the search feature. I don't remember the title or subject of the thread though, so good luck.

The factory connector is a semi-triangular semi-soft three-wire plug and the main power comes straight off the starter relay through a Yellow wire with a fusible link.
Wires to the horn(s) are Yellow w/green stripe and the wire to the steering wheel would be (possibly) Blue w/yellow strip.

The horn(s) would normally be hidden in the pockets on either side of the radiator. One beneath the battery tray, and the other below the area of the washer fluid reservoir. Some Broncos had one horn, others had two.

Hope that helps with the tracing. When you get some of that initial stuff determined we can go from there.

,,,,,I seem to remember this truck being a 76'..... here's some help for the pic search,, first pic is the horn relay .. second pic & last is the original style horn ,minus some flaking black paint removed from the surface.. aftermarket is a metal motor/plastic funnel bodied universal kind with a bolt on arm bracket to fit the stock holes on the core support versus the stock horn that has a non removable arm ,, stock location on the core support has a bolt hole with a little hole near by for the bent tab on the end of the horn arm bracket .. the tab keeps the arm bracket from rotating as you tighten the horn up to the core support ....
