I have looked and don't find where info has been posted on CB.com about Joe.
Joe & his friend Tony were checking out a newly acquired boat last wk. No one is sure what happened - except 2 young men lost their lives.
Joe was "raised right", you know, with manners, polite, respect for others and their property. Joe helped his mom Vicki care for his dad when cancer came calling. Joe dug the grave the day we buried his dad.
Some of you knew Joe and Tony from OCBR. We lost Joe's dad Carl 4-1/2 years ago; Joe's mom Vicki has become known as the 'Bronco Quilt Maker'. Please keep Vicki and the rest of the family in your prayers. At this time, I do not have info on the arrangements but will share when available.

Joe and I had the "Cancer Sucks" talk the year after Carl passed. We were both leaned over the hood of Old Man's 72 and talking as if we had known each other for years when we had only just been passer byes at OCBR. It was great to know him in some capacity and know that he was truly a genuine person.

Most definitely. Such a sad tragedy. We'll continue to support the family and be there for them in this time of need

Very sad and victims were both so young. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of both. Don't ever go riding in a boat without wearing a life preserver. Just like fastening your seat belt when in a car.

I've been on that same section of water there at the bridge. Water levels are near normal (up just a bit) however they've been very high in the past month to 2 months due to heavy rainfall. I can only guess they hit something submerged and were tossed from the boat. I'm not sure if there was a lake wind advisory or not that day but the wind was up and may have played a role.

Both were seen in the water just after it happen. Cold water temps, wind and the lack of life preservers. Just a bad deal all the way around.....
