I'm on a budget, like everyone else in the world, and am trying to find a cheap way to get a C4 rebuilt. Looking for a basic rebuild. Located in Lansdale, PA.

I've gotten some quotes from Aamco, Cottman and another local shop. All are ranging from $700 - $1000 for a basic rebuild of the trans and converter.

Anyone local do these things on the side around the area?

Thanks.

Keep looking, I had my C-6 rebuilt locally for 450 including a rebuilt converter (that was walk in the door price). I know some of the guys in different shops do rebuilds on the side for like 350 for a TH350. One told me he could do a C-4 for about the same.

I got mine done for $450 also and it included a new tq converter. You just need to keep shopping around.

I found someone that will do it for about $500. Is that a good price? If anyone on this board can rebuild a C4 professionally and wants to earn a few bucks...

I'm located in Lansdale, PA and am willing to deliver within 45 mins.
