Ok, so i just read the tread on setting up the preload on the transfer case rear output shaft and now i have a question / potential worry.
When going doing a bouncy sand wash in 2wd and my foot on the throttle I have had the transfer case jump out of gear a few times. When i changed the output shaft recently, I did not set the preload as precise as described in the other thread. I set it by feel. Would/could this be the problem with my case jumping out of gear? What damage will it do if the preload is too loose? Thanks in advance. CK
