Interesting - review would be nice once you get to use it. I have found that the cheap harbor freight variety wear out fast and tend to disintegrate as you are using them - safety glasses are a must but a full face shield is better.

This one says it is ceramic.

I have used a ton of flapdiscs. My local welding supplier knows me and suggested I give it a try. I am going to this weekend. I spend way too much there. I swear.

I use the heck out of the Walter Enduro Flex flap discs and swear by them. They last longer than any other I've tried, can be trimmed down to keep sharp edges, and are overall just a good product. Not cheap but worth it.

Walter, Norton & 3M all make a good high end product with great adhesives.
An option to the flap disc's are the old school Norton Norzon F981 or the 3m 982C and run them with a hard back up pad ( depending on your end use ). A 5'' back up is like 15.00 and the dics's run in the 4.50 range. We run these on a daily bases for years.
A flap disc is attached to a air cooled back up pad and you pay for the abrasive and the back up with every disc rather than just changing out a disc.. just my .02 ..
