I'm trying to get as much tech info as I can before installing my center console. No one has written a tech article on it yet? Or are the instructions THAT straightforward? The instructions I got are worthless and I really don't want to wing it unless I have to. Anyone have advise or install pics?

I've tried broncofix and they were worthless.

I'll try to help on that one...
I did not use any of the spacers that they supplied...I used 3 large nuts as spacers because I had a lot of wiring going into my console and did not want it to be mounted flush with the floor.

I just placed the console where I liked it then gave a small squirt of paint from a can thru the bottom holes to mark where to drill.

Down hill from there! Did I miss anything?

I've marked and ripped out the passenger seat. My main problem is the fact that the seat belt bolts are going to be located underneath the console, even if it does have spacing between the console and floor.

I'm with our Canadian brother , I didn't use the supplied hardware and spaced mine 1" off the floor . The front is tight against the back of the hump , I didn't use the factory cup holder in the front but in the rear (I have a dash mounted holder anyway) .

I just installed mine yesterday. There is a specific mounting kit for the 66-77 Bronco from Tuffy but it is nothing more than three 1" spacers and bolts (which aren't long enough). I used longer bolts and they lift it adequately high enough to clear my seat belts (Tom's 3-point belts). Just put it where you want it, mark holes and drill away. Just make sure to look under the truck first so you don't drill through anything important that might be there. I am very pleased with the look and quality of my console and I can finally lock stuff in my truck (glove box lock is busted but I wouldn't trust it anyway).

Good Luck.
