I tried to do a search on this topic, so I apologize if it's been covered. My daughter has my computer and this tapatalk app isn't as functional as the full site. Question: does the twin stick conversion work on a J shift Dana 20 if the Hurst floor shift conversion has been installed on the factory 3.03" 3 sp?

I can't believe no one has answered this..
.. But I'll take a stabe at it.. JB TWIN STICK will work on anything Bronco. Now I guess that may not be 100 % but they are good twin sticks. I don't know what a 303 is but they are for J & T shifters & are made for our Bronco Transfer cases .

The only thing that might be a problem is the trans shifter knob might get close to the front tcase lever. Depends on the angle of your trans lever. If that's the case you could always bend the twinsticks a little.

Sorry. 3.03" is the stock 3speed (at least I think it is). I'm taking the 3 from the tree to the floor with a Hurst conversion kit. That requires a tunnel modification to the driver's side tunnel because the floor shifter mounts to the side of the transmission. I bought the tunnel mod because I'm redoing the floor pans at the moment and wanted to see what it would look like. It looks tight to the stock transmission shifter which is why I'm wondering how I'm going to fit another stick in there. I was just wondering if anybody out there had twin sticks AND three on the floor.

I don't know what a 303 is ...

3.03" is the distance between the main shaft and countershaft on the 3 speed. This differentiates it from the 2.77" 3 speed used behind the 144 and 170 in Falcons and Mustangs, which is also a toploader, but has a 4 bolt cover, so it is easily identified.

I do. Did it with Duff's shifters, three speed and twin sticks. The rods for the three speed may need a little tweeking to clear the twin stick linkage, one of mine did. Sorry no pics available at this time.

keep the 3 on the tree! Its about the only thing ford did right back then! (Well that and the flip up license plate beverage holder). The only thing better would be a four on the tree!

Four on the tree would be cool, but does it exist?

Ford put some on some of the early econolines. You could also make the 3spd column work with a 4 spd toploader. Just need an extra lever somewhere for reverse.

By cool I meant "nostalgia cool". I think my 1966 Econoline that had four in the tree, that is, until I pulled the six cylinder and put a 302/C4 in it.
