T or J shift?

What he said --
Nothing internal to do when going to twin stick UNLESS you're wanting a "True Twin Stick " with a T Shift transfer case.
Redo your "shift boots " and floor seal --

Its a j shift but the guy at jb fab talked me into converting to a T shift. Cutting off the flag and cross drilling the shift rails.

That's not "converting to a T shift". Cutting the flags allows independent shifting of front and rear. You still have a J shift. You do not need to do anything to the shift rails.

It's the way it attaches to the shift rails he is sending a conversion for the t shift because it will connect directly to the shift rails after I cut off the flag.

By cutting off the flags and cross drilling. Do you mean that you are using the t shift style shifter instead of the J shift style?

I do like the J rails and I have cut some to work with T shifters. Those rails are very hard and difficult to drill though.

I love my twin stick conversion but about once a year I have to get under my Bronco & tighten a few bolts. It maybe the Diesel shaking it loose. But Mine will get to where the nuts are nearly completely off the bolts.
....... But It's so much nicer than my ORG shifter.

Those Nord-Locks are awesome and great for header bolt applications too. Places like Fastenal also has them.

He has a adapter/application that requires a higher degree of misalignment/adjustment than would be possible with the limitations of the “J” type shifter interfaces.

Jon, I misunderstood what the OP meant in his comments. It makes sense now and it sounds like a good upgrade to the J shifter mechanism! ;)
