Twin stick question

I can't remember if my twin stick came from wild horses or @JB Fab , however there is a small metal plate that goes between the two shift rails. Newer kits don't seem to have this metal plate or at least it's not referenced in the instructions I can download.
On one end is a round hole the same size as the bolt, on the other end is an eccentric.
I can't find my instructions and my question is does it matter which rail has the end with the eccentric?

If the shifter came from WH it will have 1/2-13 threads. If it came from us it will have 7/16-20 threads.
If you have a external interlock bar, then you have our aftermarket shift-rails.
It does not matter which end the oval hole is on, it just matters that it is not clamped in tight and can move freely.

Mine has 7/16-20. Do I need the interlock bar at all?

I have purchased several kits from you, however I am unsure if this is WH kit or JB Fab. It absolutely has 7/16-20 bolt, but also has the interlock bar, leaving me puzzled.

The 7/16" refers to the threads on the top of the handle (where the the knob screws on).
The external interlock comes with our shiftrail set, (the shift-rails and the shifters are 2 sperate kits).
