"Glassed and Framed Doors" on a U13 - very cool documentation.
This one must have gone to the Navy that's why there is an anchor in the front seat%)

Yes. The documentation from Marti shows that most of the '67 U13s came with doors.. So less than 200 were actually roadsters without doors.

Hey Jimmy,
I saw this one the other day. Not far from you!
You may already know of it,
Terry

Thanks for saving that one Rick!! That console looks cool in there.

Hey if you could take a pic of the rearview mirror bracket I'd appreciate it, just to compare it to the one on my 66 thanks

Here’s the rear view mirror mount. Hope that you can see it!

Yes! It answers lots of questions. Still wish I knew who/why all of the tags were removed? Did the AF do this to all of their “deadlined” GOV’s? On another thread you mentioned that tag on the door, but mine is also missing a tag on the kick panel. You can see evidence of the location where all of the ID tags were located.

This thing also has as someone pointed out a heave duty lock box/center console and red upholstery over the original parchment including some upholstered door panels with map pockets. Do you guys think this was done after GOV service?

Very authentic looking mirror mount for sure, I've not seen one like that. Also never seen pouches on door panels, my guess is that the military may indeed have made the console and pockets, but I doubt they'd go as far as upholstery...if you've ever sat in a military Humvee, ambulance, cockpit, jump seats on a cargo plane etc you'd know the military was never concerned with comfort ;D then again it could have been a Bronco for DV's, VIP's or even a commander at some point.

So many unknowns about the very early Broncos, perhaps even less is known about the military ones, so this site is a nice collaboration of facts and stories and different pieces of the puzzle for those of us seeking answers, and your Marti report is a very nice addition to the overall puzzle, which I think is what Todd was saying.

Oh by the way you can order a new warranty plate for your kick panel from Marti as well.

When you get it on the road I have a nice authentic AF plate that would look good on it ;) it is a license plate for a local base, NOT a dash plate!! I wish!

I still have a tire carrier just like that one. Same hardware and all, but missing the latch for the pin because I was not going to drill through that part of the tailgate.
Made my factory latch and hinges work, but used the aftermarket carrier to get the length for a gas can holder.
