Dang I can't believe I had to miss it. We knew we had that 11:00 Saturday Funeral to attend but they told us it'd be storming bad.
... Wife had agreed to come down with me on SATURDAY, We were just going to come down in the Hemi Durango & see a few Bronco & return home. Due to a 20 year old grand son wanting to attend the LJT CONCERT .. & HE DID ANYWAY. & CAME HOME SICK & Lost his cell phone. But he's been paying for his problems .
... But I've met Ted back in the 70'S AT THE OUTHOUSE Guns Shop .
I believe that was it's name . He's been a hunter for many years. I'm glad he likes Broncos.

Serious question.....did Ted charge a fee to make an appearance at your event? I ask only because members of an organization I am in have identified Ted as a much preferred future speaker at our annual convention and fundraising banquet and wondering what that might cost? Thanks.
15 years ago or so one of our members (KB6677) contacted his office manager about attending the East Coast Bronco Roundup.

She said it would be like $15K to appear (not play). Obviously, that was not going to happen.

With that said, that is probably the standard reply since I'm sure he gets tons of requests, and the invite may never have even gotten past his gate keepers for him to decide based upon his interest in Broncos.

Point being, if your group is not something he's passionate about expect it to cost you!

He was not available for the 40th or 50th events due to prior commitments, but we did manage to get two if his Broncos (Zebra full size and the black U15 he had at the LEBC event) loaned to us for the Bronco 40th Anniversary feature at the Ford Nationals in 2006.

The black one had just been finished by JBG and Ted hadn't even seen it yet. The zebra was looking a bit rough from his years of flogging it, and it was delivered to Stacy David for its latest rebuild after the show as part of us using it.

Very cool Gary!! I have always thought that he would pop up at some point at some Bronco event. Have always enjoyed his extreme zest for being a red blooded, PATRIOTIC, outdoor-bronco loving, kick a$$ rock n rollin' AMERICAN!!! Very cool!!

AND just to share one of my limited home town Ted experiences.....me and one of my lifelong Uncle Ted fan buddies were LIVE circa 1983 (or so the legend goes) when the Motor City Madman came with his walls of Marshall cabinets and rocked a crack in the Virginia Beach Dome!!
