• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Got the guy on the phone now. Title say it is a 66 U14, but the tag on the glove box might say something else. And since there is a tag on the glove box, might tell you right there they don't match. He is getting a flash light to get a better look and then calling me back.

Title says U14FL768833, So October of 65. But he thinks he see U15 on the tag in the glove box. Its in a dark barn/shed right now, and he can't see it very well.

They don't match

Vin in Glove Box is U15FLG97432, Nov of 69 build, 1970 Wagon

He is pulling ad till he can figure it out.

Really nice guy. Might be a chance to really get a good price if you think you can work around the vin issue.

Fishy......%)

I don't think so. You should have heard his voice when he saw they did not match. When he read the vin off of the title, and I told him all the things that visually said it was not a 66, he said "well not you have got me wondering", and he walked down to the shed with the phone in his hand. He thought he could see the U15 on the glove box tag, and he sounded very surprised and let down. He said he has very limited experience with EB, but said he picked up this one because it had so very little rust. He did not hesitate to say that he was pulling the ad until he got it figured out. I told him that it was not uncommon for guys to buy glove box doors and titles. I told him to try and see what was stamped on the frame by the starter.

I got an email from the owner and this is what he said.If any of you are still interested? I will let him talk to you about it.Thans,Kurt

Kurt,
I just found out by talking to someone that knows early bronco’s a lot better than I that while my title says it’s a ’66 the body is from a ’69 or ’70. The vin # on the glove box door does not match the one on the title. I didn’t know that until today.
