Just finished spraying Raptor on both sides of off road build tub. I don’t see any mfg requirement or recommendations for final top coat. Raptor makes a clear coat but I didn’t find any mfg info on using the products together. Anyone with experience of applying any type of clear coat or other top coat to Raptor liner ? Just know will never be this clean again ! Thanks

How do I add more gloss to my RAPTOR application? Can a 2K clearcoat be spraed over RAPTOR to increase the gloss level?

RAPTOR can be topcoated, but generally, it's not needed. RAPTOR dries to a semi-gloss/eggshell finish, which most people find to be plenty of gloss. Clearcoats do not have the same level of durability as RAPTOR and are more likely to chip under heavy duty use. Lightly abrade fully cured RAPTOR with a gray scuff pad. U-POL 2K clearcoats, like UP2882 and UP2872V, use the same resin system as RAPTOR so U-POL clearcoats will give the best results.

The Raptor I sprayed last year in my Samurai cleans up easy and looks new after it's wiped down. Being black it shows dirt......

Using the black (no tint) I just sprayed my SNL's tin top Samurai inside. I had some left so I sprayed the hood of my Samurai. The sun sure does glare off it.........

Thanks Tim. I’m not overly concerned about the gloss, or even appearance that much, just wondered if I was missing something from UPOL or CB folks found clear coat helped with cleaning, UV protection etc. I about overlooked Lizard Skin 48 hour dry time between sound and thermal applications, and know LS liner product requires top coat. Trying to cover bases before put tub on frame. Thanks again for help.

i sprayed raptor on my front bumper over 6 years ago when i did the underside of my tub. It is black and has held up well as far as UV damage.

Yesterday i scuffed that same bumper with 320 grit and shot silver mattalic and clear coat over the top and it turned out sweet.

If you just want it raptor then leave it alone. But it can be painted over if need be down the road. i wouldnt be concerned with any type of clear coat to cover the raptor...its quite UV stable.

Today i started prepping the inside of my tub for the tintable raptor liner. I have gecko green tint bases to add in. I will NOT be clear coating over this.
