Vacuum brake booster push rod help

Yeah that’s what I was getting from what you were saying earlier. If you look inside that center hole can you see any short rod at all? Maybe threaded to accept the female end and be adjustable?

If the short threaded stubby shaft is still there I wonder if you can make your own extension out of some female threaded rod. Has to have some sort of a smooth round tip on it so as not to gouge the backside of the piston, but that’s basically all that’s there to begin with. Just an adjustable rod.

There is nothing inside of there. The rod was taken out or I misplaced it

Go to the junkyard and pull the rod out of the booster on an econoline van. It's the same length as the EB rod you're looking for.

The rod on mine looks like a exhaust, or intake valve. Has a big flat end that goes into the booster and a rounded adjustable end that goes in the back of the master cylinder. Not sure what year mine is off of but I think 77.

I have that rod out of and old booster but I agree with Paul just get a new booster.
