Where did you guys with permanent mount vacuum guages locate your hookup?
Any type or brand recommendations?

Underhood or dash mount - I am open minded to either.

I put mine in the dash when I reworked the dash and installed a new harness.

mines laying between the seats I never planned on it being permanent. But its been there for 7-8 years. I guess I should either remove it or mount it. If I mount it I'll put it under the dash. But more than likely I'll just remove it as I only used it for tuning.

connect the gauge to the upper intake, preferably by itself.
don't 'T' into something that changes the vacuum signal, like a brake booster as it can affect the reading.

Vacuum off the carb base is best, not a runner. The runner sees pulses as that runner sucks air when the valve opens. Carb base is much more stable to the whole engine.
