Valve Cover Breather Oil Issue

Recently changed my valve covers and the new ones use a push on type breather instead of the twist-on that was original. Problem I am experiencing is that the push on type breather's I have found aren't tight enough to keep oil from being blown by because of the high oil pressure the engine is creating.

Does anyone know of a tighter push on type breather or of a different solution to solving the problem?

The newer Ford threaded oil caps and threaded long neck on the valve covers are the only ones that don't leak. They're used on most engines after the mid '80s. I doubt the oil pressure has anything to do with oil leaking from the breather or oil filler cap. There is an oil mist in all the engine cavities. Baffles in the valve covers catch some of it. If and when blow by isn't drawn out by the PVC the mist is pushed out anywhere things aren't air tight.

The type of rubber grommet that has a "snout" and is closed save for a razor-knife like slit across the end can help.

If you're building that much crankcase pressure you either need a pan evac or a better PCV valve and/or plumbing.

Do you have a baffle under the breather opening? When I ran a carb, I had a pair of those fancy "Ford Racing" aluminum valve covers and fought a leak at the breather for years. Someone told me to add a baffle under the breather. When I pulled the covers off, I found the baffles were there but were attached to threaded bosses opposite the breather openings, hence doing nothing. I moved them to their rightful homes and my breather oil problem went completely away. Added bonus, my carb was no longer able to pull oil splashes from the PCV tube into the vacuum port and my engine stopped burning oil.
