Hello All,

Do EB frames have the VIN # stamped on them? I would like to get some history from the frame I picked up and I'm uncertain where to start.

Thanks

look under the firewall on the passenger side rail, right about even with the bellhousing. some also have it right in front of the #3 body mount on the passenger side.

I found mine near where 73stallion pointed out. It took me 3 or 4 times of searching though before I located it. Happily once I did I found that the numbers do match.

Mine was in two places on the right top side of the frame. One directly across from the front of the tunnel cover and the second directly across from the rear of the transfer case. Of course that really does not matter in my case since I have a different one for the tub and a totally different one for the dash. %)

On one of my 77s you could barely make out the numbers on the frame and its not because of rust. Just some poor stamping done at the factory, If I didn't have the title to match it with I wouldn't be able to tell what the VIN really is.
