I have a set of Firestone Destination MTs.. Couldn't ask for a better tire. There are what the Dayton Timberline MTs were. They just changed the letters on them. Great offroad tire and last a looooong time.

Hard to find old looking patterns in anything wider than 7 or 7.5. So heres more skinny tire options, from left to right.

ole skool is cool,, those desert dogs bring back memories,, back in 1975 when I was rocking a 74' with rear flares, but otherwise bonestock with no frills,, with 10x15 desert dawgs,,, my longest jump was 28 ft (about gave my dad permanent whiplash) in the sand dunes near Mayport Florida. Was stationed in florida for a while and would put on the Firestones, town n country mud n snow skinnies and leave Durham, NC and hit 95 south (before 95 was finished) to Jville, stop it at a shopping center parking lot and break out desert dawgs and do the nascar tire change. Later switched to Armstrong Rhino's 33-12:50's on 15x8s and played in the swamps. Sometimes on weekend I'd drive home on Friday after liberty call and be back for revielle at 0500 monday.. 496 miles each way.. burnt that road up many times lol. Later upgraded to hurst 3 spd and headers from Duffy's,,(now Duff's ,,I'm dating myself now I know) ran thrush mufflers, no turn downs, no pipes,, ole skool. I put a 188k on that bronco and it never left me stranded in 11 yrs (I ain't saying I didn't get stuck,,, cause I buried that sucker a few times,,, lol) . Had to sell it due to divorce and hard times but always regretted that. Now I'm a little over 3 yrs in 69 and doing fine,,,,,, :) good memories and thats what it's all all about.

Still True to my Tru-Tracs

I purchased my Armstrong Tru-Trac tires in 1979 and still have them on my show truck today. Both myself & my good friend Ken (who had them on his Bronco) thought these were the best tires ever. Amazingly enough, the spare tire (almost 34 years old) has less than 25 miles on it. I may be looking to sell all five to the right buyer if you know anyone who is interested. Great Forum!

I like these tires I have them on a BII I use for a woods truck, I havnt had them in real deep snow but they really do good off-road here in this part of the country. Here are a few pics on a 15x5.5 wheel, I groved mine because I didn't like the two solid ribs.
