Viperwolf Question - 96 Explorer oil cooler fit

Viperwolf,

A search of past threads yielded a thread in which you said that you ran the factory cooler for about 9 years... Assuming that it was an Explorer one... How well did it fit?

Anyone else have a comment? Thx.

It was an explorer cooler. It fit ok with a 302 and extreme motor mounts. Close to crossmember. Wider 351w block and standard motor mounts would be tough to fit. I had to massage the locating tab on the cooler and trim off the drip shield. Oil changes were messy. Other than that it was perfect.
