It’s that time of year again! WE Rock rock crawling competition is at Katemcy Rocks in Mason TX this weekend. Make the beautiful drive to the Texas Hill Country and watch the folks at the top of the rock crawling game do what they do, it is spectacular and appears to defy physics.

That would be so much fun. Last time I saw WE Rock was 20+ yrs back at Goldendale, WA. I was a volunteer helping to winch back over tipped over contestants. The tech has changed so much that it's probably not even the same contest anymore! lol

Never was over to Mason but probably looked over that area from the top of Enchanted Rock and can vouch for the beautiful area description!!!

It was in AZ a month ago. We were out there the weekend before running around on trials motorcycles. Watched some of the big toys coming through as they were setting up. There has been an evolution since I saw this stuff more than a decade ago. Didn't get to see anything actually run.

Ooof! Not sure my equilibrium…or lack thereof…would allow me to drive in that orientation. It DOES however look like a good time! Those of us who live in an area of the country that is bereft of this sort of terrain live vicariously through y’all in the “rocky” parts.

This is what I love about this sport. It’s a family affair. Gunner Brown is 6 and is competing in his own buggy, with his dad spotting. I caught up with him long enough to get a selfie with him. gunner has an older brother, Landon that competes as well. 😎

Been busy delivering food to volunteers and doing recoveries so I missed a lot of cool stuff today but here’s a few highlights

A few low lights.

FYI for FB users, lots of live coverage going on.

The FJ40 is 2/3 scale and one of the kid buggies. There are 6 under 18 competing this weekend.

What a great weekend. Got to see a lot of old friends and make some new ones. Gunner from above took 1st in his class😎

Was busy judging so not many pics and spent till dark tearing down and loading up. But here’s what I got😊
