I recently bought an older 8274 warn winch. I want to mount it on my pre-runner bumper. Does someone make a generic mounting plate to mount to any standard hole pattern. Thanks for the help.

I have an 8274 and Bailiebilt made me a bumper to mount it. A buddy of mine wanted an 8274 and called Hanson about the mount camomog posted and they said it was just a fairlead mount. you might call them to verify. Good luck

yeah, I tried to do the same thing and looked and looked for ever. There are basically two. The one that Warn sells (big honkin' piece of metal but looks strong as hell) and the Hanson one mentioned above. The problem with the Hanson one is they would not confirm that the intended use was to mount a winch. They kept calling it a fairlead mount and told me to reference the pics on their site. When you go and look at the pics you will see it used exactly how you want to use it. I like the cleaner & lighter look of the hanson one by far. I ended up selling the 8274 and intend to go with a different winch.

Go to a steel supply place. Have them cut and bend a piece of 1/4" steel to your measurements, drill holes for the winch to mount to, and weld to your bumper. Done. Cheap.

Do NOT buy that one. It is not that strong and by the time you get it mounted and reinforced it is butt ugly. I can post pics to prove that last assertion.%)

Because the 8274 requires a super beefy front mount...that 'weld to yr bumper' part gets tricky fast.

I've mounted three 8274s three different ways now and I think I'm zoning in on what works. LOL.....;)

Gordon Bailie told me that the 8274 was the only winch that he didnt make a bumper for. What I ended up doing was shipping him the 1/4" mount that was on the winch when I bought it and he worked around it. turned out great
