Warped floor pan

I was making a floor pan for the passenger side front floor today. I got it fitted and then rolled the beads , after I rolled the ones in the middle the pan warped up pretty bad. Is there any way to take out the warp or just scrap it and start over? Thanks in advance.

Did you bead roll straight lines like the floors are stock? Sometimes the stretching of the metal while bead rolling will cause the panel to warp. If you haven't finished the beads I would go ahead and do all of the beads you were planning on. Then if it is still warped I would take a blow torch and and lightly heat the areas that seem to have "too much metal" and are causing the warp. Allow the metal to cool and see what it does. It is tough to explain heat shrinking because most panels seem to reach differently when heated. If it doesn't work at least you are not worse off than you are now. Bead rolling can be tough, maybe try some test pieces of metal with different amounts of tension on the roller to see if it has a sweet spot that won't cause warping.

I watched a youtube video when I had a similar issue. The video showed old timers that were restoring Pullman train cars. They would heat the area then spray water on it and it would shrink.

Also keep in mind you are going to put a lot of heat on the panel when you go to weld it into the floor braces. Slight warpage will come out just by welding the pan into the Bronco. Snap a pic let's see what you are dealing with.

I tried some heat and didn't get anywhere. The warp is pretty bad, like 2 inches in difference. I think I will cut out the center and make a new piece. I will try to post a pic tomorrow, I left my camera at work.

You might try rolling the rib in one direction and the next one in the opposite direction. Stresses canceling each other out.

What size dies do you have and what ga. metal?If you're not bottoming your dies out to the flat it will warp.Are you starting the bead on the edge or leaving a border like factory?How bout some pics??

Yeah I need a picture. Clamp it in and tack it in place. The warp is going to change when you start welding it in anyway. I really need to see it before I make this call.

I ended up cutting out the warped section. I borrowed some buttweld clamps from a friend and I am going to make a patch panel. I am going to roll the beads before I weld it in. I will post some pics as soon as I get the panel made. Thanks for the help I appreciate everyones input.
