Sure they were! Just the standards of what we consider a comfortable DD have changed.

HUGE factor right there.

A similar conversation at work comes up every summer about having AC in the house. Some folks only run it a couple of days each summer when it is really nasty .... others run it for months on end , then just switch over to "heat" in the fall.

I voted yes because I think Broncos are too cool to be trailered everywhere and only taken off for trail use. It's kind of like having a cutom car that you trailer everywhere you go for car shows and never getting to enjoy to fun of driving it.

apachetech makes a good point. Each of us own our Broncos' for different reasons. Some own theirs specifically for a hobbie, collector, trail toy, etc.

I own it for it's ease of repair, capabilities, and cheap insurance/tags. Once the (bugs) have been removed from 30-40 years of neglect. It is in my opinion a better daily driver than any New car out there. Most on this board can perform a road side fix without having to find which CODE popped.

Sometimes "less is more" - as my daddy used to say

YESSSS, my 2002 wrangler was driven daily for 90 miles each way for one year. smaller engine, weaker axles and trans, I plan to drive my EB 12 miles each way to work once a week, and my 01 GT stang the rest. I t might become 50/50 or 100% as time and bugs are worked out. hence 33"s are going inthere.

These trucks were build for daily use and if driven daily along with regular maint will do well. I do not drive mine daily because the top is off but know of a local attorney who drives his daily. Suit, tie, and old beater bronco with dog box hanging out the back next to the courthouse.

My Tacoma is 12 years old and toyota is replacing the entire frame/suspension next month...at a 110,000. My 1966 roadster has original frame and sheetmetal with only a small amount of rust in the floorboards..geeez!
