Thought it would be fun for people list what, where, when and how their first vehicle was. I will start.

My first car I got when i was 15. It belonged to my grandfather, then my dad, then my sister, then me.

It was a 1967 Chevy Belair, 4 door, straight 6, automatic, Solid White exterior, front seat was a bench seat that was covered in bright blue and white flowered pattern vinyl. If I went around a corner too fast, the fan would hit the battery. Yep, no shroud and in hind sight, pretty sure I had a broken motor mount.

Ok, your turn. Pics if you have them.

1977 Bronco Special Decor Sport - Black on Black with the White Stripe. Got it in 1983 when I turned 16. Can't find a picture of it though.

First was a 1963 Cadillac El Dorado convertible; that would have been around 1972 or 1973.

Second was a 1927 Dodge Brothers couple that I bought in 1974.

In the pic where I'm actually test driving the Dodge, you can barely make out the "Eldo" in teh background.

This is where everybody begins "dating" themselves.

1983 Ford Ranger, 2wd, regular cab, 4cylinder. Dad and I rebuilt the motor when I was 14 and I was driving at 15. Put some cool aluminum rims on it, big fatty in the rear, narrow front, it sat at a rake. Ended up blowing the rear-end side stepping the clutch at every opportunity. It was an open rear diff too, only time I've ever seen spider gears completely rounded off with the teeth sheered to nubs..

Young and dumb.... ;D

First vehicle I ever drove was my Dad's '66 Bronco, which is one and the same that I am working on present day. I was about 6 years old first try at it bouncing around in the field in 4LO.

First vehicle that was "mine" was my 2001 Ford Escape, it was my Mom's primary vehicle, but she moved up to a full size pickup and I bought it at a discount. I did a lot of my learning to drive in it, and it served me well right up until a suicidal deer totaled it. :-X (It's in my Garage along with the Broncos.)

First car I drove was a Honda Civic (ughhh, thanks to OPEC), first one I owned was a 1975 Olds Cutlass 2 Door. It was blue with a vinyl top and it rode like a caddy and ran like a Camaro. It belonged to a older gentleman near our house and I bought it in '86. It ran great but needed a little body work. It was titled and badged and tagged as a 350 motor but it actually had a 455 under the hood with a posi rear end. I think GM was doing a lot of that to get around insurance issues back then. It was geared low and would blow the doors off a brand new 87 Z28, suprised a lot of people off the lights with that one. It was a boat but it was a quick boat. Got in too much trouble in it, passed my parents doin' 120 coming home one night, she sat for a spell after that. Still miss that car.

1972 Ford F250 with a 300 straight 6 and a three speed. $450 when I was 15 back about 1984. Blown rings the day i bought it, and blown rings the day I got rid of it, but it ran. Had a lot of fun in that beast, and loved the body style!!

I almost died in one of those. It had worn out king pins and tie rod ends and would develop a nasty steering instability at about 40 mph. I was in the back with ..err, well those details are irrelevant to the story..when my buddy lost control of it and we went back and forth across the median strip about 4 times on two wheels before coming to a stop.

I got into 4 wheeling and things went down hill fast :D

I still rock this truck many years later - with 4.56 gears, lift, tires and limited slips front and rear it pushes snow better than most...

It pulls trailers too :D

My first was a 1981 Honda Civic, 5 speed manual. As much as I hated that car, (bought it from my parents in '88 when I got my license), looking back it was a great way to learn to drive stick. I think the stereo I had in it was worth more than the car itself...in fact, I know it was. LOL

My first truck was a 69 Datsun P/U that a local exterminator traded in on a new Ford Courier! Every inch was rusted from chemicals! But I was 12 and it was MY truck............for the farm. ;) Followed by a 75 Chevy C30 Stakebody, 6 cyl automatic with single rear wheels, another farm truck, but I could drive it to town. ;D
My first real vehicle that was just for me to drive was a 73 Bronco, I was 14 and thought I had died and gone to heaven. ;D
