What's an Atlas transfer case worth?

I have a used Atlas transfer case that's been completely taken apart. The PO said it needs a new gear in it (no idea which one). I have no idea what input shaft, output shaft, or gear ratio it is.

Atlas has serial number on its case. Call them to see how it was setup. When I was looking, most ask around$2200 and up but that for working unit.

Thanks! I'll try to find the serial number on the case. Probably be worth my time to put it back together with a new gear.

If you post a pic of the area near the serial, the casting is different. Older ones had different markings. This one is from 2000. Might give you an idea of age

I was going to say $2k before I read the details.

A box of parts really kills value. The value is in the working whole, not the parts.

Then for who will buy it, depends on how it was optioned out. What bolt pattern on the input? What spline count? What ratio? What yokes? Does it have a shifter? Which one?

As long as we are playing "what T case is this" :p

Anybody know anything about this one. Its an atlas II, but the case is not smooth like the newer ones? Could this be one of the first couple of runs for the atlas II? Full disclosure, I bought this used from a local.

Also notice this has the short output with no speedo gear I beleive.

Not that old, what is the number engraved on it? Looks like speedo housing, short output is half that size.

Well that would be good news on the speedo. I guess I should knock out the plug and make double sure?

Top number is 300384

bottom case number is 6420.

I called them awhile ago and they couldn't find anything about when it was built, which I thought strange??

Thanks

This is pix of mine. I cant recall exact date I bought mine. I think 2013-14. The hold down retainer for center pin is vertical. Mine had 3.8 marker pen on top which probably gone in used one.

Your case is the 6420th Atlas II assembled and sold. Advance Adapters
started selling these about 25 years ago. Probably 8-10 years old max is my
guess.

Just called Atlas, here's what they told me:

Built in 2007
3:1 gear ratio
31 spline
short tail housing, no speedo
