Any of the set-ups will work with your FW. If you go tie rod under with no other mods you will be limited to the chevy or my set up. If you drill the knuckles and pitman arm you can use the bolt type set-ups. If you go tie rod over you will need to ream or drill the knuckles and pitman arm. All the above you will need to check for bind and parts hitting through out the suspension travel and lock to lock on the steering.

This is a little OT but I think it's close enough to fit here since "Best" could be determined by what's available....

How many of these systems are available in oddball configurations? For example, this coming spring I'll be installing my FW '78 Bronco axles and a 4x4x2 box. That's not too exotic, but it's definitely not stock, Would the BC, Stone Crusher, or Ballistic kits work (without additional modifications that is) for this setup? If not then all the argument will be moot for a lot of users.

We've done many setups just like this. Actually we've done Zuks, Yotas, Broncos (early and full size) with 60's and Rock Wells, Chevy's and even heeps with FW axles. All we need is a couple of measurements to build to. Yes, it can be installed over or under the knuckle.

I put your stuff on my build this spring.... and after a summer of running it is still very tight. Great parts Anthony, and great service also.

Atmittedly, my setup is pretty plain jane as things go.... I was more curious regarding how extreme you could get and still use a "kit".

Anthony it sounds like you will build to suit the application, so that sort of alleviates the concern I brought up. I'm assuming that BC and Ballistic will probably do the same....

I think you're probably right. Yes, we do build to suit if things have been changed. As for Ballistic, you get a standard cut length of tubing then you have to cut it to the length you need and weld in the inserts.
