What’s this metal tag on the A pillar?

My buddy just bought a clean, very original ‘72 Bronco. While we were checking it out, we noticed this metal tag on the driver’s side A pillar. I don’t think my ‘75 has one. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what it is. Thanks.

Yes we were admiring the roof rack as well. He’s thinking he needs to find a canoe to put onit. Do you know if it was factory, or after market?

Yeah. He bought it from a guy in his 80’s whose father bought it new in Colorado. Very original and hardly any rust. It was repainted 10or 15 years ago. He even threw in three extra hubcaps.

No roof racks came from the factory.
