Looking for wheel and tire sizes for stock uncut 66 u13. Tried to search and only found info for lifted. Not really interested in lifts. Original plan was to do a 302 auto and lift. But, after finding out I have an Original u13 with 39k miles thats no longer the plan.

My '74 and '77s were built with bias ply L78X15s. The radial equivalents work well. In fact that was what I found to be the best driving/handling tires I've tried. The MPGs were good too.

7.35x15 4 ply is the size I've seen on a couple of 66 window stickers. Welcome and we like bronco pics when you get the chance

I guess I should have been more clear. I'm not looking for stock wheel and tire sizes. I'm looking for what wheels and tires will fit a stock bronco. For example is there a 16 or 17 inch wheel that will fit and what size tire for that wheel. Thanks .

This bronco was originally green and cream color. My wifes uncle owned this for many years. He has two daughters who hated the original color. He took his youngest, around 10 at the time, to the paint store and told her to pick out the colors and he will have it painted. That has been nearly 30 years ago.

16" wheels were an option from the factory. I'm running lt235/85/16 on a 66 now, tall and skinny. Funny about the color lol. If Holly green was the original color, it was one of the rarest colors used on 66 u13. I've gathering 66 u13 vin and colors over the last year in an attemp to see how many are left out there. I'm just shy of 400 66 u13 vins and only 8 have been Holly green so far. You've got the rarer rectangular mirrors too.

I've always assumed the mirrors were an aftermarket replacement. Ive only ever seen the round ones. I'll have to take a pic of the vin plate and post it. Options that I know it has. Dashpad, horn ring and rear seat with armrests.

You have a cool U-13 with a ton of heritage! Thanks for posting up a picture! We are always anxious to see pictures!!;D

The mirror heads do look like the chrome aftermarket variety instead of the later '67 mirror.

As for the original question on your thread, I still like the stock rims (15" or 16") with a stock tire size... like a 7:00-15 or 7:50 -15, or even the original 16" wheels. The 16" rims on Broncos never than an available hubcap from Ford, but they still look great in Wimbledon White!

But for what will fit, any 5 on 5 1/2" wheel with the larger center bore should fit. On your Bronco though, I would not go over a 30 x 9.50 tire because the the uncut fenders and the very limited output of the 170. The 6 cylinder does ok with a stock size tire, but it starts rebelling if you increase the size by very much.

On your U13 with the modified paint scheme and if you weren't painting it back to original, I would opt for a vintage (30-40 yr old) custom wheel like a slot, a vector, a turbine, or probably my pick, a chrome reverse and just a stock tire size.

The peacock blue halfcab has original 16" wheels, but they are not Wimbleton white yet...

This is an example of a chrome reverse wheel.

This is what I like. And really the reason for asking. I know they make them in a 15x7, 15x8, 15x10 and 17x9. I'd prefer the 17 but I'm doubtful thats possible for stock suspension.

Are the mirror heads mounted on bronco stalks or am I just not seeing it correctly?

It's a little hard to see, ... I think the hardware is Bronco, but the rectangular heads are aftermarket.

I think you are headed the right direction, but on the uncut and no lift, I caution you on the 17"s. You are right, I would go with a modest 15x6 or 7.

I would prefer a bigger wheel. I have seen the dodge 17" wheels that some use. Just looking to see if anyone has a wheel/tire combo that they know will work.

The problem with a 17" wheel is the outer circumference of the tire is going to get too large unless you like the look of a huge rim and a bikini sized tire stretched on it!
