WHICH CARPET STYLE?

I have a 1970 1/2 cab. 3 on the floor, T shift. Daily driver not a show rig.
Looking to buy ACC carpet, but which one?

Loop style, 100% nylon. 20 oz./sq. yd.

Cut pile, 100% Dupont yarn. 14oz./sq. yd.

Cut pile with mass backing.

I have Kilmat for the floor but have not installed it yet.

If I were to go with the mass backing would it be to much with the Kilmat?

I could use the Kilmat either way, with any carpet or not.

A vehicle of that model year would typically have loop carpet. I have always preferred cut pile. For me it has been easier to keep clean.
If you go with cut pile, the Essex carpet from ACC is a much denser, 22.5 ounce, cut pile. That’s what I use in Rangers.
I’m not a big fan of mass backing if water may be an issue. Most of it is recycled cotton material which holds water. I use something like this polyester/fiberglass product which will not absorb water, or a closed cell foam. I think you could use it with or without Killmat. Just order the carpet without backing and install backing where you need it….
