Which Pertronix in distributer?

I have a ‘73 with a stock 302. I put a pertronix in about 8 years ago to replace the points. Was going to buy a back up but can’t remember the specs or part number. There are several listed in summit for a ‘73.

Also, what is the difference in the “standard” pertronix and the “igniter 2”? Any advantage to upgrade to the igniter 2?

Hi, Pertronix has improved on the original product with a #2 and #3. If I had to replace the original igniter I would buy the #2. Get more info on these at the Pertronix website. Good luck

I like the 2. I believe you can’t fry that one if the ignition is left on the run position. Don’t ask me how I know that.
