I have about 4" of lift (it is a BC Broncos lift designed for a heavy bumper and winch which I do not have so it equaled 4" when installed). I also have the 1" WH body lift which I think is awesome. Doesn't look like a Bl but it give a little needed clearance. I am running 35s. You can see pic in my gallery.

jclint1 are you building a Bronco that will never use an aftermarket bumper? If your strictly going by looks and not the actual function a bodylift gains then im with you, no bodylift.

Are you building one you plan on leaving uncut? If yes then again i agree a 5.5" with 33" tires is a good match.

I hope you are aware that there could be a great deal more work involved when lifting your bronco to 5.5" vs 3.5" the lift it self wont be more work to install but getting the bronco to function at its best will be more challenging. Not to deter you in any way just want you to go into this project with your eyes wide open.

Yes planning on leaving uncut. I am actually trying to mirror the look of the one I posted, and by that I mean an original factory look minus the lift and tires. This is a weekend around town truck, won't be doing any off roading.

Correct me if I'm wrong but total height will be different if using 3.5 sl + 2 body compared to 5" sl. This is because Broncos came stock with a 1" body lift so I assume putting a 2" body lift is only adding 1 additional inch.

Broncos do not have any body lift stock. So if you put a two inch body lift on it raises the body two inches.
A 3.5" SL and a 2" BL would result in 5.5 inches total.

So your saying your bronco sits directly on the frame? Fairly certain the mounts are around 1" stock.

That 1"is not any lift. It is just the thickness of the mount. A 1" body lift is an inch taller than stock. Broncos have no body lift from the factory just the stock mounts.

^^ yup what he said. You have the factory rubber mounts that are stock but not a lift. When you add the body lift you get the pucks or in WH case taller mounts that add one inch. But they are not considered a lift from the factory.

A company that supports America, supports small business and is crazy about quality is a company that has your back. For almost 50 years JD has been standing side by side with their customers and will continue to do so for many years to come. Curious about customer service? well, it's 1:30am EST and here I am answering questions and doing what I can to help lol but seriously though, we bend over backwards to ensure you get what you pay for and are 100% satisfied with our products.

Wait was I allowed to vote?? ;D;D;D

^Mike you had me sold at "A company that supports America"

Just like the wording some use saying "the stock suspension lift" when in fact, it's just stock. No lift until you add it.
And that's whether we're talking about suspensions or body cushions. And stock body insulators for our vehicles were closer to 3/4" or thereabouts.

In that vein, even if for example a 4x4 F250 Camper Special sits 2" higher in the rear than a standard 2wd F250, it's still not "lifted" per se. It's just "stock" height for that particular model.
Just like the F250 4-wheel drive "Highboys" before mid-'77 were not lifted, even though they probably had a good six inches on the next highest truck. Or more!

I know you get it already, I just felt like talking about all that stuff because it has come up a lot over the years and it's fun to join the discussion.;D

I say do a small lift with a more aggressive looking tire like a 31 x 10.5 on stock steel wheels similar to alot of LUBERS on here. Great look and your not gonna really be messing that much with the suspension angles and all should be good and the truck will still look Kick Ass for around town! ;D

Oh yeah, I am gonna guess that the lift on the green uncut bronco in the pic is at least a 5.5.
