I think the 36" swampers, 37" big brand tires are the cutoff for the 44, thats what I have come to see and experience. I guess thinking about it the broken stub came when I was running my 38's (they were my street tires and decided to enroll in a rock crawl comp at the local Jeep dealer). 36" Irok's are my wheeling tires. And if you are going big on the lift split the difference between the body lift and suspension lift to help with driveline angles, otherwise at least cut down a HP D44 for the front. I have seen a lot of people with either real expensive front shafts or having issues while running the 5.5" susp lift. I know Mad gets away with it but then again he gets away with a lot more than the rest of us ;D
