Who’s using a dart block and what motor mounts are you using?

I have a 302 dart block and Im not sure what motor mounts to buy. For one it’s high hire power and two I’m looking at a lot of threads and people say they never fit right without a lot of modifications

I've never built one with the Dart block but assumed the motor mounts were stock configuration as far as location and thread size... maybe not?

The HD mounts that WH sells should be fairly unbreakable...the bushing could disintegrate but the bolt won't let go. They apparently sit a little higher than a stock mount if that matters to you.
Stock mounts could pull apart but I got mounts from Duffs. They look like the stock mount but have a big pin running through the rubber insulator. If the rubber ever fails it will still be mechanically connected. Not nearly as strong as the HD mounts but they "are" stock height.

I have a dart block. WH extremes just wouldn't work. I tried modifying them, shaving them, re-welding them, and finally just put stock ones on. The "L" bracket sits too close to the block and oil pan, and interferes with with them both. The WH extremes are folded straight across, but the Dart needs space BETWEEN the bolts. They're also folded over way too long and needed to be more rounded. I don't recall what's there (freeze plug rim?), and the ends needed to be lopped off to get it to fit. I had to notch the WH extremes so much, their strength integrity just went away.

I ended up buying Westar EM2329 Motor Mounts because they have a rivet that runs through the rubber, compared to Anchor brand which doesn't. If the rubber fails, the mount won't separate and your motor won't fall. They fit perfect with no modification. Running a Dart 302 stroked to 347.

Good price at Rockauto $5.33 each, but maybe cheaper elsewhere?

Maybe you can use the WH bottoms and try and fabricate a new top, but I had it after working hours on the problem. I just didn't want to fab something to match what I had to chop the WH into.

I've built motor mounts using the poly bushings like the extreme. Not that hard of a fab job. You can get different sizes of bushings.
