Why no more T shift?

it would have been dana's decision i think. i also think the j shift cost less to produce

The j-shift has fewer parts in the tcase and on the shifter.

engineers trying to keep there jobs. Dont know about fewer parts as I dont really see a differeance in parts.

Also Ford wanted to move the location of 2H up and away (So 2H wasn't so close to the seats area) Since 2H is the most used position.

I'm wondering if Ford also wanted to standardize the Bronco and F-series 4x4 trucks to have the same shifter = save costs.

Just a thought.
