I figured I would throw a few pics into the mix based on the 1.5" kit. This Bronco got the 1.5" front as a "leveling kit". We did nothing to the rear. 32x11.5x15 BFGs on 15x10 USMag Indys. Fills out the wheel openings nicely IMO.

Just installed the WH 1.5" suspension last night. Very happy with the ride and height. The rear is up a little but I expect that to settle down after I put some miles and bumps on it.

Here are a few pics of my new 1.5" suspension lift from WH. Tires are 33/12.5/15. It only has about 25 miles on it so it will be interesting to see how rear settles in over the next few weeks.

I’ve been shopping for a new suspension system for months and never noticed the 1.5” option. I had mentally committed to the 2.5”, because I want some lift over stock. Can someone help sell me either way, 1.5 vs 2.5”. I have no body lift and it seldom goes off the pavement.

You already know my selling points! WH just started offering the 1.5" package recently, meaning a few days ago.

Yep, the springs themselves have been around for a few months now, but likely as a result of the conversation here in this thread they're now listed in the "System" category as well.
I think Jim said he was planning to add them anyway, but you all just put the subject back to the top of the list.;)

Thanks to Classic again!

Am I correct to assume the rear leafs are different than the ones in the 2.5” kit? Sorry for the dumb question, but wanted to be sure that’s not why people are saying it sits nose down.

Yes, as far as I know they are different parts and different part numbers.
I can't say whether the height difference is a result of a change in the number of leaves (should not be, since they have 10 like some others), the height of the arch, the thickness of the individual leaves, or a combination thereof.
But they are dedicated 1.5" leaf packs.

From what I understand, the package is 1.5" leaf springs, 1.5" coils and stock shocks.

Good question. One that has been asked now and then over the years, but without much information coming back in.
I would hope at least some have tested caster both before and after the lift, but it seems that few have the before numbers on their rigs. And some don't even have the after numbers.
Especially nowadays when they buy a Bronco and tear right into it for a full year's-long restoration. When the subject of caster, camber and toe-in do finally come up, their rig is in pieces spread all over the garage.
I'm sure at least some just don't want to pay for two sessions on an alignment rack!

But it would be good info regarding any suspension lift.
We should have had a chart on this subject long ago. Guess it's time to start one!
Unless someone knows of one they can post up?

Hello All,
With regards to leveling, what are the best points to take correct measurements from...If I measure at center of wheel and tire to middle of cut flair im 1.5inches lower in back of 1974 bronco...I have new stock coils and leaf springs and biltein shocks all around. but heavy metal bumpers with tire rack in back and front with winch...I haven't changed my body mounts yet...please tell me where to get correct measurements so I can start leveling .

I would never use the body lines only. Especially with cut fender flares! You never know how consistent they are. And that does not isolate suspension from body mount, frame straightness, or tire consistency.
The most (really the only that I know of) conclusive point to measure for suspension height is the gap between the top of the axle tubes and the bottom of the frame rails.
This way you can get a suspension-only corner by corner number.

Any variation between the four corners is your lean.
The hardest thing though, is to determine whether a lean is coming from the front or rear. It might look like the rear and be a problem with the front, and vice versa.

Of course, you need to eyeball things like bumper gaps too, to make sure you are not dealing with things that are crooked above the suspension, but that's why we like to use the gaps between the frame and axles.
