pulled off the stock tank on the 73., and preped and painted a WH 23gal. for install. noticed that the WH tank doesn't have the 2 additional lines near the sending unit? In reading some of the other threads, seems the charchoal canister was used. Mine is long gone. Should I be concerned about venting, if this tank only has the filler hose, overflow, and 2 small lines?

If you had your emissions equipment, you could use those 2 small lines. I looped those two lines with fuel hose.
As far as venting, just make sure you have a vented gas cap.

YES.

I removed the charcoal canister and all those lines from my 73. I modified my filler necks and put on vented gas caps.
