Hello all,
Curious on the best way to attach windshield frame . I have heard multiple ways ( weld, nut certs, weld nuts , tap and sheet metal screws. ) I would love to hear your opinion and reasoning.

Thanks in advance !

Hopefully someone here who has done it multiple times will chime in. Probably just a few even here though.
That, or else all you’re gonna get is personal experiences of doing it once. Which will be most.
Therefore that’s either their favorite, or their not gonna recommend it. Same answers that you’ve been reading all along. Little chance for consensus.

Factory ones were bolted to the cowl originally, and welded and later years.
Not sure which way would be the “best“ way.

Good luck!

We use a stainless steel hinge on all ours, like to paint the frame off the vehicle. You use just regular screws on both sides, or drill and use nut -serts.
