You can buy "turnbuckles" at a hardware store and make your own. Way cheaper than the vendors sell. I think mine cost me 10 dollars. The vendors want between 35 and 50.

If you don't have a cage, Krawlers Edge has one with the supports built in for the WS frame and it works great. Our go to for our builds.

I bought my own as well, $15-20 from McMaster-Carr. But my cage is closer to the windshield frame than pre-made ones so the ones the vendors sell would have been too long to fit.

I keep thinking of adding some turnbuckles on mine but its survived 20+ years topless with just the dash bolts/knobs.

I just had them put on fairly recently this. Never any indication of trouble, but I figured since I use a bikini top often and I’m constantly pulling on it to keep it tight, it might be smart.
