Wiper motor issue

The previous owner bought some off brand aftermarket wiper motors. When they are off the wipers are in the fully extended position in the middle of the windshield. Is there an obvious fix/adjustment for this? Apologize if this question has been asked before.

can you take the wiper arms off the shaft and re-index them so that they are at the top?

Are you running a wiper drop bracket? If so, you have to unbolt the arm on the inside of the cab and rotate the arm 180 degrees. This will have them park correctly. I had the same issue. Read this

I have been driving around with 1 wiper for 3 years. The passenger side on mine would travel way above the roof line.

Spoke too soon. Made sense as you were explaining it… but not what I have in the truck. Two motors, no bar, wipers hooked directly to the motor shaft. The parked position is down therefore the first motion when switched on is up so if I can’t move the wipers otherwise thy will go over the roof when energized.

Take the gear box off the motor and reinstall the gear in the proper position for park.

must be 12v marine motors..... i had those for a while (hated them) b4 i found a stock setup

Can you swap the motors? If they are opposites, that might fix both.
