Yet another horn/relay question

Like some of the other recent threads, my '72 has a disconnected horn with no relay present anywhere. I understand the wiring from the other posts but am unclear on where and how the hot wire gets to the horn. My single wire horn is on the driver side wheel well. The blue/yellow wire from the horn button comes out of the harness right by the horn. The starter relay (which it seems sounds like is the recommended 12v source) is on the pass wheelwell. If I put the horn relay next to the starter relay, I would need to run two wires from one fender well to the other, if I mount the relay next to the horn, I will need to run one hot wire across the engine compartment. Am I missing something obvious here? Is there a good 12v source on the pass side for the horn that I am missing? Thanks for any help, just trying not to clutter things up with more hack wiring.

'66-'73 used no horn relay. It has two wires in the column. One gets power from the headlight switch connector. The other goes directly to the horn. You cannot just add a horn relay without some creative wiring.

Thanks, that totally makes sense. I thought only the really early models didn't have a relay. That was the easy. Now onto the busted aux fuel tank sender.
