Now that I'm a contributor, I can post the pics I've been accumulating since Aug. 2010...I picked this Bronco up for a song while I was stationed in Texas for four months. It originaly came from Arizona with 33k original miles on the clock.

The guy I bought it off of, purchased this Bronco from his new neighbor with the intentions or restoring it. However, after nine years of the body hanging from the rafters and wood stacked on the frame, he decided he wasn't going to do anything with it and needed the space.

I knew I was going to be stationed in North Texas for about four months so I was looking for another project. I landed a score and found this Bronco 2 weeks before arriving. After some negotiation, the seller agread to hold it for me till I got down there.
I really like the looks of a LUBR, so I cut out the old quarters to replace them. Its funny, because when I was a kid, I hated stock looking Broncos; But now you just don't see too many uncut Broncos

As you can see, this Bronco is VERY solid. I have never seen one this good without restoration. Then again, I live in the North East.

The best part about this build, is that the guy I bought it off of, let us build it in his shop, fed us, and let us stay at his house (In my Enclosed Trailer). Hell, we worked till dark, then drank beer on his Tiki bar. You just don't find that kind of southern hospitality anymore.

What a great job! Patience pays off. BTW, is that Rangoon Red, Candyapple Red or ? Looks brighter than some of the std Ford colors & not as deep as Candyapple Red.

I brought a 77 Bronco down with me. The body was flimsy and was only held together with screws and pop rivets. It was so bad, I tore it off the frame by hand. My plans were to put the 69 body on the 77 rolling chassy, and use the frame for my 68 ("The Bumble Bee") as it could use a new one. I wanted to use the 69 body/77 drive train as a daily driver

I paid $500 for the 77 in 07 (First Pic)...It looked great from a distance, but was too far gone to restore.

As you can see, the frame is nearly perfect. The serial numbers looked like they were just stamped yesterday, and it still has the factory runs on the frame that is 42 years old...UNBELIEVABLE...I just can't bare to seperate the body from the frame...I will drive it on the 77 running gear for now, but I will put the body back on the frame it deserves...

After some wet sanding and buffing, I had that cheap tractor paint looking pretty good.

This is its current state, and as soon as it warms up, I'll finish painting the inside of the interior/bed (red), the halfcab, dash, door panels (Wimbleton white), and put the rest back together...I'll keep posting pics as I go along...
