What is your bronco's top speed, engine, gear ratio and wheel size? Can a 302 with 33 or 35" wheels hit 85mph?

I think the rear of my pants would blow apart as my Bronco did if I tried anything over 65-70mph. Even that is risky...

75-80 from Arizona to Oklahoma with a stop in Kansas City on the way, no problems.

Run 70-75 on the turnpike to my sister's all the time.

351, 3.50s (I think) and 31's.

Scariest thing is the manual drum brakes and manual steering.

I pegged the speedo a number of times back when ours had C4, 3.50s, and 31-1050-15s. And the speedo was never calibrated for the bigger tires! Life has become too dear to try that again. ;)

I've hit 90 several times with 35's, 3.50s, 302, c4. Been a bit faster with 31's, 3.50s, 347 and nv4500 :p

fast enough to makes you need TP when we stop with 4.30s and 37's, faster with 35's and scary as hell with 33's. 90mph and it starts to float.

Mine had not been on the interstate in 10 years until yesterday... Under normal driving my Bronco drives very good. I have been pleased with the ride and handling for years. However... when I started to approach 70mph it picked up a vibration from one of the tires. I have one tire that no one seems to be able to balance. it doesnt seem to matter as long as I keep it on the rear. When I move it to the front the steering wheel shakes. Anyway... at 70MPH the vibration started and the steering felt very light... I was scared to get next to anyone it was so light it felt like it would float across the lanes. Not sure what that was about.... may be that I "ain't as good as I once was" or I was scared.... :)

I remember having my old 74 Bronco up to 90 plus when I was 21 years old.

Im sure mine will easily hit 100. Its just shifting out of 2nd at 75mph. cruises really nice at 70-75 at around 2200rpms. drives nices enough im not affraid to take my hands off the wheel.

351W, 3-speed, 3.50 gears, worn 33's that probably don't measure 32...75-80 mph no problem so long as your earplugs are in. I have noticed it gets a bit squirly at those speeds in a heavy cross wind, but it is lifted 3.5" + 2" body on pretty soft CAGE springs.

351W, NV4500 (Hmmm... am I retyping my signature???)

Anyway, had it up to 80 with the new KM2s and it drove fine. But yes, cross-winds are tricky at that speed.

You must still be in your 20's... :D

When I was in my 20's mine was super fast... It has slowed down for some reason.
