Well, I fabbed up some new parts for the build.

I had started out with a set of the typical flat bottom heavy duty coil spring cups but had trouble fitting them with my track bar riser and bump stops, so I decided to make my own... with some refinements.

First, I really wanted something heavy duty but to also incorporate the spiral ramp like the factory cups since the coil springs don't have a flat bottom.
I worked the bottom plate up out of 1/4" steel and then went from there.
I kept the overall diameter a little tighter and off set the mounting holes in the same position as the factory cups. I also noticed that on some aftermarket coils the bottom coil does not wrap around as far as the factory coil so I rotated my retaining strap back a bit to ensure positive retainment. and it's all fully tig welded together.

And here in the first picture you can see how the spring wants to lean on a flat bottom cup and then how it sits on my cup in the second picture.

Quit making such cool stuff! It's a shame I have new SS cups wrapped up in storage or I'd be asking for a set of these! Looks great B!

I wonder how affected the ride would be?
