picked up a 66 U13 today, once again many thanks go out to Tasker for all the help and the tow in getting it to it's new home.
the plan is to restore it to as original as possible. I don't plan on doing much to it yet (other than gather parts) as I need to finish the other Bronco first, but hopefully I'll be able to dive into it by winter. figured I may as well start the build thread now and post up the pictures of the beginning.
oh yeah, anyone have a copy of the assembly instructions for this thing...mine seem to be missing from the kit;D;D;D

Thanks, it is a good solid fondation to start with.

oh, and thanks Randy... I forgot about Stacey's video instructional on how to build a U13. I'll have to dig that up so I know how to put this back together and what it should look like when it's done.;D

Hey Migs, looks like you bought Brian Halgren's ole U13! Nice! Yes it looks like a rock solid one to start with. Hey probably the best thing to do is apply to the registry and start all over with your name and email addy. I do have the original photos submitted by Brian, but really ought to use some of these new ones here too. Pm me if you need any help.

Welcome aboard! tim

Hey Ben, another roadster brother and with any luck, maybe we'll see he and his "new bride" at next year's Super Celebration!!

Randy, I'm sure you'll lead the way to the Smokies!

since I haven't touched the other Bronco in a while, and even though this one's stored away for the winter, just thought I'd bring it back up to help keep me motivated. for now, I figure as I work on the other one I'll be on the look out for parts I need for this as time and money allows. I did pick up an old nos ford rocker panel, but high on the list right now would be a nice correct tailgate. possibly a hood, the one I have is repairable but if I find a nicer 66 hood for the right price....
I'm up in the air on a set of roadster inserts though. looks like this one may have come from the factory with the hard top and doors. there are no holes where the inserts would have mounted, it does not look like it had a fender mounted mirror, and the dso has 6 digits so I think it may have been special ordered this way. I like the look with the inserts but if it came this way I thought about just keeping the lower half of the doors on and storing the top and widow frames. curious to hear other's thoughts about going for a true roadster look vs keeping it as close to as it was when it left the factory.

oh yeah, might as well put a couple pics up of the "new" rocker panel as that's all I got right now.;D

Hard doored and topped roadsters are hard to find and less in numbers than the insert ones! I would keep it that way! tim
