Trying to work as quick as possible without fucking up is hard.. Sorry for the French, but shit is getting down to the wire for this year and I'm on my own..

I was able to correct the crossbar for the xmember Artec 4 link bracket, which was ground off and re-tacked. Now it sits as it should and proper. All lengths are measured out to the decimal, I can sleep better at night :)

Going forward, "thought" I did a pretty awesome job getting the mid skid plate all mandrel bent, cut and tacked...
Here are some pics of me failing..

After talking with Scott @sunfireoffroad he helped me see clearly though the "just wanted it to be done" , fighting for ground clearance is more important than ever.. Thinking that I could live with that as is, I couldn't.. So.. Dissatisfied, I scratched it all and started it again, man I was down.. For 2 days.. Just plain pissed off..But, it was for the better. After some more time I came up with a better solution..

I took a break from trying to perfect the mid skid, so I went back to remembering I still needed to cycle the rear axle. Here are some fun pics of success!

Good news, my Mid skid plate is done, I finished welding it with both tig and mig. Crossbar and xmember are both fully welded in. All that's left is the upper and lower brackets for the axle and upper frame brackets. Then it's on to the cage and rear shock mounts.

Looks good as always. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the rear strut mounts.

Got some more work done today:

The rear crossbar holding the Artec xmember definitely needed support. So I cut up some more tubing and braced that sucker up. I also was able to mount the atlas support ring from TMR too, now on to the cage for real this time..

Thanks Lon, consider it done! You're gonna laugh, but a crap load of YouTube, weld monger and SA books. And of course lots of practice and mistakes a long the way. Tig is definitely an art, like playing the drums. Mig, is more fun and easier.

You were going so strong. Any updates?

Yes, I will take some pics when done. At the moment I just finished tacking up the custom frame sliders/skid bar protecting the rockers. I also finished bolting down the roll cage through the tub and into the new metal support braces I made for the body. I still have to bend and weld on support gussets from the frame to the body and roll cage. I'll post pics when done.. But also we have some engineering going on with the brakes atm too. Can't wait to show the progress!
